A Passion For Adventure
Aaron and Samantha Simser are the proud founders of Mozambique Sportfishing. Born from the passion of exploring the furthest reaches Africa, Aaron Simser stumbled across the amazing waters and legendary fish of Bazaruto while on a Cape Buffalo hunt in 2012.
Since that moment Aaron and Samantha have pursued the dream of owning the first full time exclusive Marlin fishing lodge in Bazaruto since the late 1970’s. Aaron and Samantha spend upwards of 6 months a year continuing to build the dream in Africa but call Pennsylvania home during the offseason.

Mozambique Sportfishing is 100% American-owned. Aaron’s love for adventure does not end in Mozambique. He is also the proud owner of Artistic Visions Adventures, a global hunting consulting company, and Artistic Visions Wildlife, World Class Taxidermy and Art Studio.

Our Dedicated Staff
Our team at Mozambique Sportfishing and Vila Rosa are full time on site staff led by our Lodge Manger Kabila. His love of the lodge and all who call Vila Rosa home for their vacations is beyond match. Our deck boss Alberto is a lifetime Bazaruto fisherman that shares our incredible passion hunting these giant sea beasts. This past summer MozSF was able to put Alberto in the chair to have knowledge from both the deck and the chair. It was a special experience to be cherished for a lifetime as Alberto is the first of his family to have caught a Marlin.

Bazaruto Archipelago Mozambique is Africa’s Grander Capital. This special beach paradise boasts some of the most amazing big marlin billfishing the world has ever known. Our home base of operation, the iconic Vila Rosa, is perfectly situated on the southern beach side of Inhassoro Mozambique. Inhassoro is the perfect hub for our company due to its unique geographical location between the northern fishery of Lighthouse Bazaruto and the legendary marlin grounds of 25 mile reef and Mario Ledge. Our convenient location on the mainland also allows us opportunity to offer our clients with additional eco tourism and adventure trips that are not available on the islands.
