Black Marlin Fishing Capital of Africa

Welcome to the world of Dinosaur Hunting!!! Bazaruto Island, Mozambique is a MASSIVE “paradise lost” Black Marlin fishery. Once Globally known in the early to mid 1900s, this costal paradise is finally stabilizing after years of post-African continent wide revolution. As many of you big game fisherman know, Black Marlin are as rare as Unicorns…. They come and go as they please and are only around in very small areas (GBR and Panama) for a very short period of time. The All-African Black Marlin Record was caught here on these fabled grounds in 1998 and weighed a stunning 1,298 pounds, far more than the famous “Grander” mark. Since then we have seen MANY fish come close to that mark including an absolute toad we broke off at the boat in 2019 while lining up the gaff.
